Shane Hansen is the new athletic director at Sheboygan Christian after serving in the same role at Greendale, West Bend and even in Denver.
He grew up in Ripon and went to high school there, and is the latest to participate in “20 questions.”
South volleyball snaps streak
It looked like another conference loss for the South volleyball team Thursday.
But the Redwings rallied to defeat Pulaski, 18-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-23, 15-11, to snap their 19-game losing streak in the Fox River Classic.

“Most other people, yeah, they probably wouldn’t do something like this,” said Sheboygan North assistant volleyball coach Lisa Weimann. “I got the best of both worlds. I got the Brewers and Miami Beach, too.”

Man charged with howling at K9 unit
Following an allegedly drunken fight in downtown Sheboygan, a Sheboygan Falls man is charged with harassing a police dog after police say he howled at it.

STAFF IS MOVING BACK into a renovated Sheboygan City Hall at 828 Center Ave. following an open house Sept. 3 . During construction of the $10.5 million project to improve funtionality for the benefit of the public and city staff nine departments moved to alternate locations for 15 months. The original building was dedicated on Jan. 27, 1917.
Children’s Museum hosts adult-only fund raiser
Above & Beyond Children’s Museum of Sheboygan will host its 4th annual adults-only fundraiser Tastefully Childish on Friday, September 27 at 6 p.m.
The museum comes to life as guests delight in interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, raffles, silent auction, face painting, scavenger hunt, live entertainment, and festive music.

Budding farmers show future of county dairy industry
The Sheboygan County Holstein Association recently held their Farmerbud Showmanship Event at the Sheboygan County Fair. It was well attended and there were three queens on deck who handed out tokens for free ice cream at the Red Barn at the county fair.
