A 36-year-old Aurora, IL man accused of participating in a fake FBI sting operation in order to get money was arrested following an undercover Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Dept. operation that was set up to catch the alleged fraudsters.

A Sheboygan woman was ordered committed to the Department of Health Services for 20 years Mar.1 for an August 2023 Sheboygan house explosion.

Mahaffey’s explanation to a Sheboygan County court about what motivated her to begin a years-long, long-distance relationship that resulted in $167,500 stolen from a Plymouth company, her boyfriend revealed to be a cruel fiction, herself in jail for over a year, and the primary suspect still at large.
