A San Francisco treat – for a few, anyway

Dealing with Chicago Bears fans in Wisconsin is nothing new.

Putting up with Minnesota Vikings fans in our state happens, too.

But I was surprised to find out the number of San Francisco fans that are here, which wouldn’t be a problem if the Green Bay Packers would have defeated the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game instead of getting crushed – again.

Watering the yard in the winter

I’d probably have the same response as 6-year-old Kaleb Allen if I had a mini hockey rink in my backyard.

“It’s really, really, really, really fun,” he said.

My father, however, wasn’t born in Vancouver like Sheboygan’s Brian Allen was.

“Growing up in Canada, that’s all you did after school is play street hockey,” he said.

One game left for Thompson

The high school football season has been long over, but Sheboygan South’s Laine Thompson still has one game left.

The junior nose guard/defensive tackle will compete in the USA Football International Bowl at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Arlington, Texas.
