The Sheboygan Red Raiders’ hockey season came to an end Thursday with a loss in the second round of the playoffs and the state swim meet was held over the weekend.
Esports is alive and well in town

Boldt breaks record
Some two hours after kidding around about scoring the most points ever in a Sheboygan South girls basketball game, junior Halle Boldt did it.
The point guard finished with 36 points Tuesday to break the previous school record of 30 in a 69-47 win over visiting Manitowoc Lutheran that stopped the Redwings’ nine-game losing streak.
Another top finish for North
Sheboygan North finished second in the hip-hop competition in the Division 1 Wisconsin Association of Cheer/Pom Coaches State Meet Feb. 1 at La Crosse Civic Center. The Golden Raiders, coached by Kayla Pittner, had taken first three of the previous four years.

The North girls basketball team defeated South, 59-41, on Feb. 1 and then the Golden Raider boys beat the Redwings, 66-59. North’s girls have won the last 25 games in the rivalry and its boys avoided their first season sweep by South since 2008-’09 by allowing just 15 points in the first half.
