After five months of repairs, the 40-foot sailboat stolen from the Sheboygan Yacht Club by a homeless man and run aground down the shoreline has finally returned home.

Sheboygan man faces charges for alleged sex assaults
A Sheboygan man currently in jail for allegedly sexually abusing a child now faces additional, similar charges and a $150,000 bail.
Sheboygan police say Semir Mahmutagic, 19, used the threat of violence to sexually assault multiple underage partners. He was originally charged in October with intentionally causing bodily harm to a child, strangulation and suffocation, and four counts of sexual contact with a child age 15.
Homelessness manifested in many ways
With Thanksgiving around the corner, one local organization is launching an effort to help the homeless.
The Lakeshore Action Program consists of agencies in Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Door and Kewaunee counties. The nonprofit organization works with individuals and families through various programs, including housing assistance. Leaders of Lakeshore CAP (Community Action Program) say they’re now expanding throughout the communities on a campaign to raise awareness in local shops and establishments.
Volkswagen fines to pay most of new bus costs
Shoreline Metro’s capital plan calls for the addition of a new bus, funded mostly by the Volkswagen emissions scandal settlement.
According to the Sheboygan Metropolitan Planning Area Transportation Improvement Program, the 35-foot fixed-route bus is expected to be purchased in 2020.
Oostburg man charged with alleged terrorist threat
An Oostburg man is being charged with making a terrorist threat after posting a Halloween picture online showing him wearing a trench-coat costume and holding an AR-15 assault rifle with the caption, “Coming to a school near you,” according to police.
