n The No. 1 doubles team of junior Ted Wind and sophomore Jasper Delasanta advanced to the Division 1 State Tournament a year ago. They lost in the first round to finish with a 16-13 mark.
n Junior Connor Cleveland earned all-conference honorable mention at No. 3 doubles last year but his partner, David Gotwald, graduated.
n Seniors Chalee Xiong and Steven Yang return, as do juniors Alan Tipple and twins Harry and Rex Stayer-Suprick.

LOWDOWN
n The Crusaders’ third-place finish at Division 3 state was their best finish since joining the WIAA.
n They have been to state three times in the last four seasons and have taken first in conference two of the previous three years.
n Senior Drake Wilcox also became his school’s first state champion after placing second as a freshman and third as a sophomore. He was also tabbed the conference golfer of the year the last two times.
n Senior Joel Hacker (fifth at conference) and junior Andrew Meador are back as well.

n Craig Walters is the team’s new coach; he also leads the girls program.
n The two golfers who made it to state last year, Max Schmidtke (tied for eighth) and Austin Thyes (tied for 20th), graduated. Schmidtke is the two-time reigning conference golfer of the year.
n Juniors Kyle Larson and Evan Spaulding are the top two returners.
n The Golden Raiders do not have any seniors.

n Junior Nick Kolar made third-team all-conference last season after taking seventh place at the FRCC championship.

LOWDOWN
n The new coach is Katie Veldkamp.
n Three girls made all-Big East but only one returns.
n Christian juniors Elliana Gonzalez and Maddie Zylstra are back. Gonzalez earned honorable mention all-conference as a defender and Zylstra’s 11 goals ranked second on the squad.
n Forward Katelynn Witte made the first team after leading the co-op with 12 goals and 12 assists, but she graduated after spending four years on varsity.
n Emma Otten was also a senior last year who made all-BEC second team.

LOWDOWN
n The team is coming off back-to-back league titles (no FRCC losses during that span) for the first time in school history.
n Nine players made all-Fox River Classic in 2019 but only four return. Senior Ashley English (MIT) as well as juniors Dana Fish and Megan Little made the first team. But Fish, who had team-high 20 goals, plans on playing for her club team instead.
n Seniors Leah Moyer and Maggie Mueller (UW-Eau Claire) earned second-team status, but Moyer will miss the season because of an injury in August.
n Junior Emma Belmore received honorable mention a year ago.
n All-FRCC first-team players who graduated last year were Emma Little and Meredith Opie.

n Junior Halle Boldt’s 17 goals last year were tops on the team.
n Lily Luginbill, a sophomore, ranked second with 14 points a season ago.
n The only Redwing who made all-conference last year, goalie Amy Pfile (second team), has to be replaced. The four-year starter led the league with 170 saves as a senior.
