Want to know who Lindsey Horen has a crush on and why she dislikes math?
The Sheboygan South senior, a three-sport athlete who is about to begin her 11th varsity season, is the latest to participate in “20 Questions.”
After running cross country and recently wrapping up basketball, Horen is preparing for soccer to get underway.
The only time she was not on varsity in high school was when she was on the JV basketball team as a freshman.
In the fall, Horen will attend UW-LaCrosse (pre-physician assistant studies).
Q: What celebrity do you have a crush on?
A: Harry Styles
Q: What is your least favorite school subject?
A: I hate match. It’s just too complicated. As I go to my future math classes, I can’t remember anything and it gets more complicated as you go. And I hate how there’s only one answer – usually.
Q: What’s the longest you’ve been without a cell phone and how did you survive?
A: I got my phone taken away for like a week. I would just go on my friends’ phones. And I actually got really caught up on my school work because I didn’t have distractions on my phone. But life was very rough during that time.
Q: You don’t have your phone and are stranded on an island. What two things do you need?
A: Abby Urben, because she definitely would know how to get us off the island. And I also want a Starbucks there.
Q: What was the most embarrassing moment for you in any sport?
A: One time in my cross country race – I think it was (Sheboygan) County – I thought I already passed the finish line but it was 50 feet away. I started walking because I thought I was done.
Q: What is the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into as a child?
A: I used to love going on the monkey bars as a kid but I would go home with so many blisters on my hands. So my mom would have to go in and tell my teachers I couldn’t go on them during recess – but I did anyway.
Q: If you were principal for a day, what would you do?
A: I’d let everybody go home and take a mental health day.
Q: If you could be anything or do anything for a living, what would it be?
A: I would want to be Kim Kardashian to see what her life is like and to be on the her TV show.
Q: What scares you the most?
A: Becoming possessed or something, like in scary movies.
Q: What is the best restaurant in the area?
A: I honestly like Chile’s.
Q: You can have dinner with any three people. Who are they?
A: Post Malone, Leonardo DiCaprio and Beyonce.
Q: Favorite movie?
A: The Notebook.
Q: What is the one TV show you always have to watch?
A: Grey’s Anatomy.
Q: What’s the best band or musician of all time?
A: My favorite artist is A$AP Ferg. But I used to be obsessed with One Direction as a kid. It was really embarrassing.
Q: What is the song you enjoy the most but are afraid to admit?
A: Literally any song by One Direction.
Q: Favorite and least favorite athlete?
A: My favorite is Alex Morgan. Least favorite? I don’t really have one.
Q: What is the biggest pet peeve or superstition you have?
A: When people walk slow, probably. Especially at school. It’s so annoying.
Q: What’s the funniest thing that’s happened at one of your jobs?
A: My co-worker and I had to take some garbage where we had to take a golf cart there and we forgot to put in park, so it started rolling away and went into a tree.
Q: What’s the one video game no one can beat you at?
A: Definitely the Mario Kart on Wii.
Q: What is a hidden talent you have?
A: I’m pretty good at headstands; not sure how.
