Golf team is No. 1
The North/South girls co-op team finished first in the Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin’s eighth-annual Team Academic All-State Award.
SHEBOYGAN – The County Board completed its reorganization in theater audience mode Tuesday.
Meeting in the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Sheboygan campus Fine Arts Theater for the second straight week in order to achieve proper social distancing, the board approved standing committee assignments and organized the committees.
Students missing their friends, classmates and teachers, spending long stretches in front of a computer screen and craving more live, online instruction not only to help them with assignments, but also just to make some human connection.

SHEBOYGAN – The coronavirus emergency saved the county several percentage points on the interest rate for its latest borrowing.
The County Board, meeting Tuesday via teleconference during the state’s shelter-in-place order, approved a $4.75 million bond sale at an interest rate of 1.9 percent to finance items in the county’s five-year capital improvement plan.
No boy has won back-to-back state golf titles in Division 3 since 2008-’09, and reigning champion Drake Wilcox thinks it will stay that way.
“I don’t think we’re going to have a golf season, but if there is a possibility – even the slightest – the fact I might not win a state championship, is just, I don’t know how to explain it,” the Lutheran senior said. “I guess it’s just the fun of it that I’ll be missing out on, like my final year of playing golf in high school. It’s not really about winning another state championship, the most important thing to me is just having fun, having a blast my last year. I just wanted to have fun, enjoy my last year with my friends.
