North defeated South in softball Thursday for the second time this season, and the Golden Raiders continue to either win or lose by a lot.

Entering their own tournament this past weekend, North’s four wins have come by a total score of 61-5 and its four losses were by a combined margin of 38-1.

SOCCER

North edges South

The Golden Raiders six-game streak without allowing a goal to the Redwings came to an end in their 4-3 victory April 19. North’s Abby Reinl had two goals and an assist while South’s Alayna Lloyd scored three times. The Redwings hadn’t scored against the Golden Raiders since 2015.

Hat trick and more

Maria Zylstra scored four times in a 9-0 victory for Lutheran/Christian against Green Bay New Lutheran in mid-April.

GOLF

Schmidtke finishes first

North’s Mason Schmidtke earned medalist honors in the invitational hosted by his school two weeks ago.

Forty teams participated, and Schmidtke led all golfers with a two-day total of 149 (74-75) to finish two strokes ahead of Sussex Hamilton’s Michael Addie.

The Golden Raiders tied for third place at Blackwolf Run and Whistling Straits.
