School test site limits in place

Editor’s note: This article is an update to the article on the Plymouth High School COVID testing site on page 7 of the print edition of the Dec. 28, 2021 Beacon.

Covid Clinic, the company which runs the COVID testing site at Plymouth High School, has informed the district that the site is now only for the use of Plymouth School District staff, students and their family members age 2 and up.

The reasons given to the district were the availability of supplies and reimbursement to the company being tied to use for schools.

This is a change in how the district understood the use of the site from the beginning, which included testing for community members, according to Plymouth District Superintendent Dan Mella.

Covid Clinic also runs six testing sites for the Sheboygan Area School District. The SASD website says that “Testing is open to students, staff, and families in the Sheboygan Area School District.” Instructions on how to utilize the sites are available on the SASD website.

Community testing continues at the Curative testing site at 650 Forest Ave., Sheboygan Falls. The site provides both a rapid test with results in about an hour, plus PCR tests with results in 1-2 days. Appointments should be scheduled at curative.com.
