GIRLS SOCCER PREVIEW
Talk about life not being fair.
One year after all spring sports were cancelled, two Sheboygan North girls will also miss their senior soccer season because of knee injuries sustained in basketball – one week apart.
Emma Belmore, who started on the soccer squad her first two years and made all-Fox River Classic Conference as a forward in 2019, got hurt first in a Golden Raiders’ hoops game.
Macy Schetter, a center-midfielder who was also on varsity as a freshman and sophomore and was a starter in ’19, then got hurt.
“I really felt horrible for both those girls,” coach Tim Eirich said.
“They were so looking forward to both their junior and senior years because the team is strong so. They were both devastated, and I was devastated for them.”
