It will be another year before the Ryder Cup is held.
According to ESPN, the PGA of America will make it official Wednesday morning when it postpones the event scheduled for Sept. 25-27 at Whistling Straits because of COVID-19.
A source told ESPN the Ryder Cup will be delayed until Sept. 30-Oct. 3, 2021, because the Presidents Cup – scheduled for those days – will move to 2022 and the two events will alternate from there.
“There’s a lot of behind-the-scenes things that people don’t know,” the source told ESPN. “I think there is way more to it than people would realize.”
Stay tuned for more information tomorrow.
