Jake Marver is the third-leading scorer and rebounder on the Sheboygan South basketball team, and the senior forward plans on probably attending UW-Oshkosh or St. Cloud State for some type of sports management education.

Marver, the latest to participate in “20 questions,” would love to run the Bucks someday, especially since his favorite athlete is on the team.

Maybe he would even try to trick an opposing player, similar to what happened to him last season.

Q: If you could be or do anything for a living, what would it be?

A: I’d want to be the GM of the Milwaukee Bucks probably.

Q: Favorite and least-favorite athlete?

A: Favorite is Giannis Antetokounmpo and least favorite would be James Harden because he gets all the attention from the media.

Q: What was the most embarrassing moment for you in any sport?

A: I don’t know if anyone saw it, but last year at the North-South game (on a sideline inbounds play), one of my friends on the other team, Chase Renzelmann, goes “your shoes untied.” I look down and it was tied. It was embarrassing.

Q: What is a hidden talent you have?

A: I’m not really sure if I have any hidden talents. Most people know what I can or can’t do.

Q: What scares you the most?

A: Probably thinking about dying at some point in my life.

Q: What’s the funniest thing that’s happened to you at one of your jobs?

A: When I was working at Walmart, a kid dropped something in the aisle and his dad saw my name tag. He said, “you better be careful before Jake hits you.”

Q: If you were principal for a day, what would you do?

A: I’d clear some of my friends’ unexcused absences.

Q: What’s the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?

A: When I punched my neighbor and gave him a bloody nose when I was young, probably like 6 or 7.

Q: Can you name the best restaurant in the area?

A: Probably Taco Bell because that’s where I go the most.

Q: Favorite movie?

A: Any of the Marvel movies. They’re interesting, funny, serious. They have a little bit of everything.

Q: What is the one TV show you always have to watch?

A: The Office.

Q: Can you name the best band or musician of all time?

A: If you want a more personal band or artist to me, Mac Miller. But Queen is definitely the greatest band of all time.

Q: What is the song you enjoy the most but are afraid to admit?

A: Fireflies by Owl City.

Q: How would you describe your bedroom?

A: Messy. Clothes everywhere. Water bottles. Anything you can think of, basically. You can barely see the floor.

Q: If you won the lottery, what would you do?

A: Buy a car, a house and save the rest for my future, probably.

Q: What’s the video game no one can beat you at?

A: NBA 2K.

Q: What school subject is your least favorite?

A: English. I hate writing. I don’t know how to do it good and there’s too much stuff to think about.

Q: What celebrity do you have a crush on?

A: Kendall Jenner.

Q: What is your biggest pet peeve or superstition?

A: I have to make sure my jersey is clean before my game. I can’t wear it twice without it being washed.

Q: What’s the longest you’ve been without a cell phone and how did you survive?

A: Probably a couple of days, and to survive I just played video games with my friends and my headset on.
