Red Raiders’ hockey team also sets mark for best start

Basketball teams weren’t the only ones getting off to successful beginnings.

The Sheboygan co-op hockey team won its first six games of the season for the first time in program history, according to first-year coach Bill Sunagel.

The Red Raiders allowed a total of only eight goals during the stretch before they suffered a 6-2 loss at Fond du Lac on Dec. 7.

Tyler Sunagel had a team-high 15 points (six goals, nine assists) in the first six contests and goalie Maclane Schick was 5-0.
