Former Sheboygan A’s player Al Albert has beeb elected to the Wisconsin State Baseball League’s Hall of Fame.
The outfielder, who is from Waubeka and attended Ozaukee, joined the A’s in 1985.
He hit .470 in his third season with Sheboygan and finished with a .312 career average, which ranks 22nd all-time in the league among players with at least 700 plate appearances.
Albert is the 14th A’s player to be picked for the hall and will be inducted on Jan. 25 at the league’s annual awards dinner.
