Campion replaces Greenwood
After four seasons as men’s basketball coach at UW-Sheboygan, William Greenwood recently stepped aside to become a teacher at Little Chute and has been replaced by Dan Campion
Greenwood finished with a 61-42 record with the Wombats, highlighted by their first Wisconsin Collegiate Conference Eastern Division championship in 19 years this past season.
They also reached the WCC Championship game for the second straight season.
Greenwood was voted the East Coach of the Year for the second time in three seasons as well.
Campion, a North graduate who played for Tom Desotell and then at Northland College, had been an assistant at Mount Mary.
Soccer players honored
Twenty-eight high school girls soccer players were named to the Lutheran All-American Association’s first team, including two from Sheboygan.
Lutheran forward Katelyn Witte and goalkeeper Naomi Gruben were the Crusaders selected to the squad. Lutheran also had five others honored, including Josie Pingel (second team). Kalee Muth, Emma Otten and Shae Holzheimer received honorable mention, and Ambrynn Diener made the all-freshmen team.
