North’s Emma Little and Ashley English made the All-State honorable mention soccer team.
Little, a senior defender who started all four years, and English, a junior who started the last two years, were recently selected all-state after landing on the All-Fox River Classic Conference first team.
“Both are two of the hardest workers in the program,” Golden Raiders’ coach Tim Eirich said. “They spend many hours outside of the season honing and improving their skills. Both are extremely coachable and a pleasure to coach. They are players that are role models for the younger players on the team. They have such a passion for the game and extrude sportsmanship.”
Eirich says they are also outstanding students.
“Emma was a class valedictorian and Ashley is on track to also be a valedictorian her senior season,” the coach said. “These young ladies are just part of an outstanding/special team that gets along with each other, they are all friends and enjoy each other’s company and work together to support each other.
“It was great they earned the award but also speaks to how the North program has grown.”
