The Sheboygan A’s know how to rally.
They trailed Burlington, 5-0, on the road Wednesday but left with a 17-8 victory.
The Barons held an 8-4 lead when Sheboygan scored seven times in the seventh and added five more in the ninth.
Logan Vietmeier and Jake Arens each finished with three runs batted in on two hits, and Jimmy Juergensen totaled three hits to give the A’s a 7-6 record entering the weekend.
Way to recover: After going 1-3 in a four-game series against Lombard June 8-9, Sheboygan answered with a 14-2 victory over De Pere last Tuesday.
The A’s scored six runs in both the third and seventh innings.
Vietmeier drove in four runs, and Arens added two RBI on two hits.
Pitcher Drew Nuanes allowed eight hits in the seven-inning game.
Putting on miles: Sheboygan is in the midst of a seven-game road trip, including a pair of doubleheaders this past Friday and Saturday at Addison.
The A’s next home game is Thursday against West Allis and it is the start of five straight games at Wildwood Park.
