Martens honored again

UW-Sheboygan’s Dylan Martens, a graduate of South, has been named the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association’s junior college men’s basketball player of the year.

Martens, who earlier was tabbed the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference player of the year, led the league in scoring with 23.8 points per game. He also grabbed 12.5 rebounds per outing.

 

Mangals win Challenge

The Sheboygan County Tennis Association held its 17th annual Family Challenge Cup in Kohler in March.

Eighteen teams participated and the traveling trophy was won by the father-daughter team of Ashu and Anushka Mangal.

Dean/Sam Delasanta finished second, Dharmesh/Ashwini Murthy placed third, Mei/George Phillips took fourth and fifth wen to Jason/Alex Unger.

The mission of the SCTA is to promote tennis, encourage sportsmanship, and provide low-cost tennis opportunities for the youth of Sheboygan County.

Proceeds from this fundraiser event go directly towards offsetting the costs and fees associated with junior tennis programs in Sheboygan County.
