Oostburg 49, Sheboygan Lutheran 21: The host Crusaders lost their seventh straight game and the Flying Dutchmen won their seventh in a row.
Lutheran dropped to 2-9 in the Big East Conference (2-12 overall) and was held to their fewest points of the season.
Hailey Schimberg led the way with six points, and Josie Pingel and Emma Egbert each added four.
“Offensively, our goal was to take away their inside game and force outside jump shots,” Lutheran coach Mike Scheele said. “Oostburg did a great job moving the ball and finding the open shooters who in return knocked down a number of three pointers in the first half. … Defensively, their ball pressure created a number of turnovers which lead to easy baskets.”
Reigning conference champion Oostburg improved to 9-2 in the Big East and 13-3 overall, as Campbell Van Ess totaled 15 points, five rebounds and four steals.
“Oostburg played a really good game on both sides of the court,” Scheele said.
Mishicot 58, Sheboygan Christian 24: Elie Steenwyk finished with nine points and five rebounds for the Eagles, and Maddie Zylstra contributed nine rebounds to go with three points on Thursday.
The Indians held a 34-15 halftime lead and held Christian to nine second-half points to improve to 10-1 in the Big East (15-1) and move into a first-place tie with Howards Grove.
Christian is 2-9 (2-13) after losing its third game in a row.
