The Christian/Lutheran soccer team is off to its best start since winning its first 23 games in 2013.

When Dave Veldhorst graduated from Christian in 1982, the school had a cross country team.
A year or two later, it no longer did and soccer became more popular.
The sport has returned, however, and Veldhorst is one of a handful of coaches helping out.

BJ LeRoy uses a metaphor when describing his return to coaching.
“We were previously running wildly; now we’re learning to walk consistently before taking off running again,” North’s new girls volleyball coach said.
