Spelling bee with twist to help fund programs
The Family Resources Center of Sheboygan County’s newest fundraising event, their 1st Annual Corporate Spelling Bee starting at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 18 at Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan, promises drinks, dinner, prizes, a silent auction, a wine pull and the titillation of watching teams of grown-ups re-live childhood dreams – or nightmares – of spelling their way to glory.
South’s cheer team finishes sixth at nationals
Sheboygan South finished in sixth place in the U.S. National High School Cheerlead- ing Championship Feb. 9-12 in Orlando.
Zylstra is second to get 1,000 points
Sheboygan Christian’s Maria Zylstra became the second girl in school history to score 1,000 points and the first since 2017.

Hockey season ends after triple overtime loss
The clock struck midnight on Sheboygan’s hockey season – and was also the time the Red Raiders finally got home after a triple-overtime loss at Ashwaubenon in the first round of the playoffs last Tuesday.
JMKAC awarded $500,000 grant
The John Michael Kohler Arts Center, Sheboygan, is the recipient of a two-year grant totaling $500,000 from the Mellon Foundation to support general operations.
NFL helmets are Zabel’s passion
