27th District candidacy announced

AMY BINSFELD

Amy Binsfeld, employed with her family-run business in Sheboygan, has announced her candidacy to represent the 27th Assembly District.

“Growing up in Howards Grove and watching my great-grandparents, grandparents, and parents pour their time and energy into a family business taught me the pride one can take in hard work,” said Binsfeld. “I learned that when you take responsibility for your work, it allows you to feel joy and take pride in helping others. This is my goal when representing our community in Madison.”

Binsfeld was born and raised in Howards Grove and graduated from Manitowoc Lutheran High School in 1995. At the age of 19, she began her official full-time career at Bitter Neumann Appliance Furniture Mattress, her family’s business.

With the support of her husband of 19 years, Nick, Binsfeld returned to school and received her paralegal degree in 2013. She graduated with Presidential Honors and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She currently serves as the vice president of the Westview Condo Association and is part of the Visual and Sound Committee at her local church.

“This is an opportunity for someone from a non-political background to look out for the working class.

“We need to work together to reach common goals, not only for this community, but for the state as a whole. I feel strongly that this can be accomplished through listening to those who share my views as well to those whose views may be different.

“Listening is the key to success, and that is why I am running for Wisconsin State Assembly.”

Binsfeld lives in Sheboygan, just outside of Howards Grove, with her husband and two children, Alyssa and Logan.
