Lutheran hoping for another first-place sweep

Lutheran’s boys would love to repeat what happened last year, when they won the conference, regional and sectional championship meets for the first time in school history.

They also finished sixth in the Division 3 state meet, highlighted by winning the 3,200-meter relay for the first time since 2007.

Several key athletes are back, led by Logan Zak and Rose Hahn

Freshman Victoria Garces makes her debut in the sport after becoming the first girl from the school since 1988 to receive a medal at the state cross country meet. She also won the Fox River Classic Conference title.

Senior Alex Kaffine returns after qualifying for state and finishing second and third in two FRCC races.
