Time running out to see winter sports

There is plenty to see over the next two weeks, especially with the winter sports season winding down.

State swim is about 10 days away and state wrestling is a week after.

TONIGHT

Lutheran girls at Mishicot, 7:15 p.m.: The Indians entered the weekend one game behind first-place St. Mary Catholic in the North Division. Lutheran led the South entering its game at Oostburg this past Friday.

THURSDAY

Green Bay NEW Lutheran at Christian boys, 7:15 p.m.: The Blazers were ranked fourth in the Division 5 state coaches poll as of last week.

SATURDAY

Wrestling regionals, 10 a.m.: North and South will compete at West Bend West.

Swimming sectionals, noon: The Golden Raiders and Redwings travel to Neenah for the chance to get to state.

FEB. 15

Wrestling sectionals, 7 p.m.: Hartford is the host school to determine which teams qualify for state.

FEB. 18

North boys at Ashwaubenon, 7 p.m.: Not only do the Golden Raiders face the Jaguars, they face De Pere six days later (both were tied for first as of last week).

FEB. 19

State swim meet, 2:30 p.m.: Waukesha South is the site of the final races of the year.

Wrestling sectionals, 9 a.m.: This meet, at Oshkosh North, is how individuals advance to state.
