It will be a full election calendar this year for at least some Sheboygan County voters.
A primary election will be required Tuesday, Feb. 15, for the 3rd Supervisory District County Board seat prior to the April 7 spring general election.
In addition, residents in those areas of the towns of Herman, Rhine and Russell located in the Kiel School District will choose in a primary election for three seats on the Kiel School Board.
The primary will narrow the field for those races for the spring general election, which will include races for the full County Board, city councils, town and village boards and school boards.
In the County Board race, three candidates filed to run in the 3rd District, necessitating a primary.
Incumbent Kathleen Donovan was appointed to the seat last December, replacing Vicky Schneider, who moved outside of the district.
Donovan is being challenged by Lisa Salgado and Jessica Huss.
The district includes wards 5 and 6 in the city of Sheboygan, which includes the downtown area of the city from 10th Street to the lakefront and from Bluff to Pennsylvania avenues.
Voters in Ward 5 vote at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 310 Bluff Ave., and in Ward 6 at Fountain Park United Methodist Church, 828 Erie Ave.
All 25 seats on the County Board will be up for election this year and there will April contests in 10 of them – all but one outside of the city of Sheboygan.
Contested County Board races include:
12th District (town of Mosel and parts of the towns of Herman and Sheboygan) – Robert Ziegelbauer (incumbent) and Suzanne Speltz.
13th District (village of Howards Grove and parts of the towns of Herman and Sheboygan Falls) – Charlette Nennig (incumbent) and James Coulson.
16th District (city of Plymouth wards 1-6) – Kevin Sande and John Nelson (incumbent Fran Damp is not running for re-election).

19th District (city of Sheboygan Falls wards 3-7) – Roberta Vollbrecht Lentz and Jacob Immel (incumbent Michael Ogea is not running for re-election).
20th District (village of Kohler, town of Sheboygan ward 10 and town of Wilson wards 3 and 4) – Brian Hoffmann (incumbent) and Carl Nonhof.
