A new Wisconsin ‘special recognition’ license plate for Road America will feature the track outline and white lettering over a solid black background.
The idea for the new plates stemmed from a group of fans, who brought the concept to Road America management. Together, a signature campaign was created to qualify the new plates for production. After a few months and hundreds of signatures, the special recognition plate application was presented and approved by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
The plate fee will include an issuance fee of $15, and personalized plates are available for an additional $15 every year.
Fans wishing to personalize their plates can have one to six characters on them and they must be ordered online, as DMV Customer Service Centers do not issue special or personalized license plates.
