Reklaitis starts 2-0 for A’s

Jared Reklaitis, a 2015 graduate of South, struck out 11 batters in seven innings in the Sheboygan A’s 5-4 victory over the Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons last Tuesday.

Six of the first seven batters he faced went down on strikes, and he allowed only one run and walked two.

In his first two games, both victories, he struck out a total of 24 batters while walking just three in 13 innings for a 2.08 earned run average.

Ryan Fields, making his season debut on the mound with a 5-1 lead in the eighth, walked the first batter he faced. But three consecutive hits with two outs, including a two-run home run, cut the A’s lead to 5-3. Brad Rindfleisch came in and picked up the save.

STAY AT HOME

The road has not been kind to the A’s so far, as they are off to an 0-4 start.

After traveling to West Allis Tuesday and Kewaskum on Wednesday, Sheboygan is home for a combined six games over the next four days.
