Unlike last season, the Sheboygan Lutheran boys basketball team is going to play in a sectional final.

Lutheran eliminated Coleman, 90-55, in a Division 4 sectional semifinal on Thursday thanks to a school-record 11 three-pointers and 33 points (his varsity high) from senior Jonah Jurss.

Last year, the Crusaders were the defending state champion (Division 5) and also won their semifinal game only to learn a few hours later the rest of the postseason was called off because of the pandemic.

Top-seeded and second-ranked Lutheran (25-2) hosts second-seeded and seventh-ranked Oshkosh Lourdes (22-5) at 7 p.m. Saturday with a tournament berth on the line.

The winner will play at either 9:05 a.m. or 12:25 p.m. in a state semifinal game Friday at the La Crosse Center. The championship is at 6:35 p.m. that night.
