DuMez

His birth name is Jonathan, but says “in most circles” they  call him Jack.

Jack DuMez, a senior at Sheboygan Christian, is the latest to have to answer ’20 questions.’

The three-sport athlete (soccer, basketball, track) plans on studying civil engineering at UW-Milwaukee, and his second cousin, Duane DuMez, is the track coach for the Kohler/Christian co-op team.

And yes, the M in his last name is capitalized.

How often do people misspell or say your last name wrong?

A lot. Sometimes people do it on purpose, like my friends. Sometimes people do it in a funny way. Sometimes people just generally don’t know.

What celebrity do you have a crush on?

Kylie Jenner.

What is your least favorite school subject?

Literature. I’m not great at it. Lots of reading involved and I kind of got out of reading awhile a go.

What’s the longest you’ve been without a cell phone and how did you survive?

I went three months in the summer without a cell phone. I survived because I was at basic training for the Amy National Guard, so I was focused on other things.

You don’t have your phone and are stranded on an island. What three things do you need?

A chess board, an axe and rope.

What was the most embarrassing moment for you in any sport?

One time in summer league, freshman year in basketball, a Mishicot player pretended to throw the ball and I was looking for probably 5 seconds.

Q: What is the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into as a child?

When I was really little, I used to eat candy that I was not supposed to. I got sent to my room without supper because they said I already had enough.

If you could be anything or do anything for a living, what would it be?

An entertainer, like a YouTuber or some sort of social media comedian-type thing.

What scares you the most?

Probably spiders, like the really big ones.

What is the best restaurant in the area?

I would have to say Culver’s, because me and my friends go there after a lot of sporting events.

You can have dinner there with any three people. Who are they?

David Dobrik, George Washington and my dad.

Favorite movie?

Cars.

TV show you always have to watch?

Either The Office, New Girl or Parks and Rec.

What’s the best band or musician of all time?

Blink 182.

What is the song you enjoy the most but are afraid to admit?

Dear Maria, Count Me in by All Time Low.

What is the biggest pet peeve or superstition you have?

Biggest pet peeve is when people feel the need to try to be funny in serious situations.

What’s the funniest thing that’s happened at one of your jobs?

A drill sergeant made someone give an ant a funeral when he smushed it when we were getting a free workout, as they call it.

What is a hidden talent you have?

I can eat more than people expect me to be able to.
