Orders now being taken for Soup on Wheels

Fresh Meals On Wheels is taking orders for Soup On Wheels through Feb. 19

Throughout the past year, Fresh Meals On Wheels of Sheboygan County (FMOW) has continued to safely deliver high quality, made-from-scratch meals that cater to meal recipient’s dietary needs. In order to protect volunteers, staff, and the high risk population served by the program, in-person events had to stop.

After unearthing a small stash of Talavera pottery left over from the final Love Bowls event last year, FMOW staff decided to host a pandemic-safe fundraising event called Soup On Wheels.

Participants can choose from a variety of soups including Sargento’s chicken parmesan, Tavern on Woodlake’s cream of celeriac-mushroom duxelles, The Wisconsin Room’s Manhattan clam chowder, The American Club Special Events’ curry roasted carrot, Blackwolf Run’s tomato basil; and chili, chicken noodle, minestrone and beef barley from the Christopher Family Kitchen at Fresh Meals On Wheels.

Each dinner package includes one quart of gourmet soup (ready to reheat), two dinner rolls, two assorted homemade desserts, and a Talavera bowl. Additional soup packages and Talavera pieces, including dinner and salad plates, may be ordered separately. Please note: soup and Talavera quantities are limited!
