On November 23, 2020, at approximately 4:26 a.m. Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the area of Ridge Road and West Church Street within the township of Mishicot with regard to a suspicious unoccupied vehicle.
Upon arrival, deputies observed evidence indicating shots were fired into the vehicle. While conducting the initial investigation, a 22-year-old male from Sheboygan arrived at the Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center with a gunshot wound.
Investigators from the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office and Officers from the Mishicot Police Department determined the shooting occurred within the village of Mishicot. Upon further investigation, it was determined a juvenile from the village of Mishicot was involved.
On December 2, 2020, investigators and officers from the Mishicot Police Department arrested a 14-year-old male. He is being held at the Sheboygan County Juvenile Detention Center pending his initial appearance for weapons violations.
This was an isolated incident, therefore the public is not in danger.
