EXPANSION OF THE RIGHTWAY CLUB to serve people recovering from addictions was initiated last week as donations were sought for the $525,000 project.
The Rightway Club celebrated the groundbreaking for it’s 3,650 square foot expansion and renovation project with over 50 attendees, including city officials, Mayor Mike Van Der Steen, Chad Pelishek, and Steve Sokolowski.
A.C.E. Building Service was selected to manage the project, which is budgeted at a cost of $525,000.
To date, the club has raised nearly $400,000 and is seeking additional support to cover the capital costs for this project.
The Rightway Club provides individuals recovering from alcoholism and other addictions with a safe and supportive community to regularly attend 12-step meetings and engage in fellowship.
Currently, Rightway hosts 18 recovery program meetings per week and averages over 600 meeting attendees per month. The Rightway Club will remain open during construction.
Rightway Club, located at 4627 S. 12th Street in Sheboygan, was founded in 1970 as a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization whose mission includes providing a safe and supportive home for 12-step recovery groups to regularly hold meetings and engage in fellowship, including: Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon, Narcotics Anonymous, Crystal Meth Anonymous, Heroin Anonymous, and Overeaters Anonymous.
