Federal funds used to boost county workers’ pay
SHEBOYGAN – The county is using more of its American Rescue Plan Act funds to boost pay for essential workers.
The County Board Tuesday Dec. 20 approved $691,119 in equity pay increases over this year and the next two years for workers in the Health and Human Services and Sheriff’s departments.
The vote on the resolution was 22-3, with supervisors Brian Smith, Suzanne Speltz and Carl Nonhof opposing.
