Megan, a zealous second-year farmer here at Old Plank, recently asked me to start writing again. She also suggested I take up running with burros, but there’s a donkey shortage around here and I’m not in the mood for running anyway. But I’ll humor the writing request.

Driver Edler added to Wall of Fame
Sheboygan driver Steve Edler, who earned three EWSC Sportsman championships in 1973, 1974 and 1976, will be added to the Plymouth Racing Wall of Fame as part of the Class of 2023 on July 15.
Making Sheboygan proud
A TENNIS TEAM from Sheboygan County won the State Junior Championship in the 18 Intermediate Division and qualified for the Midwest Regionals in South Bend, Ind., in July.
Fine finish for North’s Fogle
North’s Anna Fogle was named to the WBCA’s Division 1 all-state honorable mention team this season, and also earned first-team all-conference for the second year in a row.
Verhagen named to all-state team
Despite suffering a shoulder injury in the offseason, Lutheran’s Addy Verhagen recovered to make the WBCA all-State Division 4 honorable mention team.
The sophomore also earned first-team all Big-East Conference for the second straight time.
UW-Oshkosh recruit Tutas honored
Max Tutas finished as North’s eighth-leading scorer in the history of the boys basketball program and surpassed the 1,000 point total despite playing in only 10 games during the pandemic season.

Noah Heinen’s hard work paid off.
Not only did the Christian senior made first-team all-Big East Conference South Division, he picked up 16 bottles of Sprecher root beer because that’s the number of charges he took this past season.
