Just like that, the Howards Grove senior’s last-second, controversial shot lifted the boys basketball team to a 48-46 victory over visiting Sheboygan Lutheran Saturday night in the championship game of the Big East Conference Tournament.

Two of the three boys basketball teams that finished tied for first in the Big East regular-season standings – Sheboygan Lutheran and Howards Grove – will meet tonight in the championship game of the league tournament.
No surprises here: Gymnasts take third at conference meet
Third place was pretty much expected.
The Sheboygan gymnastics team finished in that position with 120.8500 points Friday at the Eastern Valley Conference Championships, behind Manitowoc Lincoln (138.1500) and Valders/Roncalli (124.5500).
